Registration and Entry

The main entry to the School, into Reception, is in the September following a boy's fourth birthday.

Registration may be made at any age, with the eventual offer of a place being based on assessment and interview in the November preceding the September entry date. The assessment is to gauge a boy's potential to follow the School's curriculum. Candidates for entry should be of sufficient ability and capacity to be able to progress comfortably at an appropriate pace, and to benefit from the whole educational experience offered by the School.

In addition, there are places available at five and seven-plus. Occasional vacancies may occur in other year groups, subject to the appropriate entry selection requirements.

In the case of the seven-plus intake, the assessment normally takes place in the January preceding the September entry date. Offers of places are made subject to the understanding that boys remain until the normal leaving age of thirteen-plus, when they take the Common Entrance, Scholarship, or other entrance exam for their next School.

There is a non-returnable Registration Fee. On acceptance of a place, parents become liable for the first term's fees and a deposit is payable. The deposit is set against the fees of a boy's last term.
