Independent Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory School
for boys in Hampstead, London NW3
Boys from Lyndhurst House can be prepared for entry to any senior school in the country at thirteen plus.
The Headmaster is pleased to provide advice and guidance on all aspects of transfer to the Senior School, and the appropriate choice of destination.
Through the years, the majority of pupils have transferred to London day schools. Some seventy-five percent of all our leavers have gone on to Westminster, St. Paul's, City of London Boys, University College School, Mill Hill and Highgate, with others moving to Merchant Taylors'. Harrow, Aldenham, or Latymer Upper, or choosing to board outside London at such schools as Oundle, Uppingham, Haileybury, Rugby, Eton, and others. (See the details of recent leavers' destinations, below.)
The process of preparation for Senior School exams is important and involves aiming at high academic standards. Nevertheless, the School continues to ensure a full and proper education during this time, as is right for the boys and as expected by Senior Schools. High standards and good results come hand-in-hand with a continuing involvement in all aspects of School life. This is vital for the boys, for their preparation for the Senior School and for their happiness and well-being.
This table shows the total number of pupils who progressed to each of the schools shown during the period 2000 to 2009.
