Lyndhurst boys and their parents brought in enough food, warm clothing, toiletries and gifts to fill 6 cars!
On Thursday morning we collected foodbank donations for our local foodbank at Chalk Farm which is just a mile from our school (run by the Trussell Trust). We were collecting as part of the reverse advent hamper project where families put an item a day in a box over the month of November to give to a family in need for Christmas.
Our parent helpers drove our donations to Chalk Farm and were greeted with very grateful foodbank volunteers.
We will be holding another collection in January to help those families who struggle over the Christmas period and the cold winter months.
